Enterprise Programs
The ProtoView Enterprise Program is a comprehensive package of product and support for the corporate developer. Enterprise Suite members are guaranteed a commitment of quality support and service from ProtoView's Enterprise Technical Support Team.

What Is The Enterprise Suite

ProtoView products have always been about more than technology. The Enterprise Program has taken ProtoView’s commitment to quality and timely support and offered it to developers in an exclusive program. Enterprise members receive the highest level of support and service in a program that includes:

  • The award-winning JFCSuite, JSuite or ActiveX Component Suite products.
  • Enterprise Level Priority Support.
  • Guaranteed Two Hour Response On Support E-mails.
  • Enterprise Level Subscription Service.

With the Enterprise Program, ProtoView extends itself beyond just a technological solution and provides the support and service corporate developers have been asking for.

What Are The Problems Corporate Developers Face?

Meeting deadlines.

These two words describe the majority of a corporate developer's tasks. Create a project to deliver on time and on budget to solve a problem.

To save time and money, corporate developer often rely upon third-party components to provide pieces to their application puzzle.

Third-party components are developed to meet a particular need (a calendar component) or solve a certain problem (how to create a diagramming interface). Of course, with any technology, there is often a learning curve that needs to be overcome. How to properly incorporate the component. How to overcome a programming error. These are all issues the corporate developer must somehow overcome in order to meet their deadline.

With development cycles continuing to shorten, a minor unsolved problem could potentially lead to disastrous results. Waiting for a response from technical support could prove to be costly.

What Do Most Corporate Developers Do When They've Found Themselves Waiting On Solutions?

Some corporate developers end up with their hands tied. They begin to lose money and time waiting for answers. Out of frustration may decide to pull the component out of a project or attempt to develop it themselves; incurring great time delays.

Pulling a component out of a project is a time consuming task. Then of course, what to replace it with? If the first choice was not the right one, what is the right choice? Evaluation of a new product could take weeks.

Developing a component in-house could prove extremely hazardous to a company's development (and their bottom line). Trying to build this component is an unwise decision, as it leads the company to support and maintain this product in-house. A venture like this could take top developers away from the core business at hand. Addressing bugs and adding features to this component often creates more overhead and expenses than management realizes. The cost is usually exponential over the price of an available commercial product.

So What Does A Corporate Developer Want From A Third-Party Vendor?

A commitment to quality and timely support. When a problem is found, it is addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

ProtoView provides this commitment with the five Enterprise Suite products.

What Are These Products?

  • The JFCSuite Enterprise Edition.
  • The JFCSuite Enterprise Edition (with Source Code).
  • The JSuite Enterprise Edition.
  • The JSuite Enterprise Edition (with Source Code).
  • The ActiveX Enterprise Suite.

Why The Enterprise Program?

Based on the information above, ProtoView has listened to our customers and a number of corporate developers, and they've all said the same thing.

"ProtoView components are exactly what I'm looking for to incorporate into my project,
but I need to be sure that if I have a problem I can get a solution…fast."

While ProtoView has always had a superior standard level of support for our products, we have decided to offer a higher level of support to our corporate developers.

For instance: With the ProtoView JFCSuite, we have taken our award-winning products, the convenience of Subscription Service and combined it with our high-level of technical support in the form of membership to our Enterprise Level Phone & e-mail Support.

With the Enterprise Program, ProtoView extends itself beyond just a technological solution and provides the support and service corporate developers have been asking for.

What Do You Mean When You Refer To "Enterprise Level Phone & e-mail Support?"

Enterprise Level Phone & e-mail Support is provided to Enterprise Suite Members. It offers exclusive access to senior-level technicians as well as several product managers from ProtoView's Development Team. To ensure the immediate response of all questions in a timely fashion, a special e-mail address is given to members upon product purchase. This e-mail account is monitored and checked at least three times during standard business hours (9:00 AM, 1:00 PM & 4:00 PM EST).

Within two hours of its pickup, any question sent to this account is reviewed by the Enterprise Technical Support Team and sent a response (in the form of either a solution or in the case of a larger problem, an acknowledgment with a status report).

How Does This Differ From The Standard Support I'm Currently Receiving?

While the level of quality is always the same between ProtoView's Standard and Enterprise Level Support, the speed is not guaranteed with Standard Support.

Standard Level Support is based on current traffic. All requests are handled on a first-in/first-out basis. Solutions for standard support can take anywhere from 2 to 3 days for a response.

Enterprise Suite Members are guaranteed same day responses to their e-mails and phone calls.

What Does Subscription Service Mean?

Subscription Service is designed as a convenient way for customers to always ensure they are using the latest versions of ProtoView components.

Subscription Service entitles Enterprise Suite Members to all major upgrades (full version changes) and minor updates (enhancements & service patches).

The ProtoView Subscription Service creates a link between an Enterprise Suite Member and ProtoView's Development Team ensuring that they are always informed of the latest enhancements & service patches to our software products. The ProtoView Subscription Service provides releases as they are made available, saving valuable time spent aimlessly scanning the web.

ProtoView Subscription Service customers also benefit from full version upgrades. Now, the hassle of upgrading is over. ProtoView will inform Enterprise Suite Members when the newest version of the ActiveX Component Suite is available and deliver it to their InBox (in addition, Enterprise Suite Members can choose to be a part of private beta-testing of new versions if they so desire).

Who Is This Product Geared Towards?

While the these Suites are primarily geared towards the corporate developer, any developer who wishes to have an increased level of rapid response for technical support and receive new components, features and fixes as they are made available should purchase a membership to the Enterprise Program.
